Ehd-e-Wafa (Urdu: عہدِ وفا, lit. ’Pledge of Allegiance’) is a Pakistani television series created by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) and Momina Duraid under MD Productions. The series originally aired on Hum TV, PTV Home, and the ISPR channel from September 22, 2019, to March 15, 2020. Written by Mustafa Afridi and directed by Saife Hassan, it stars Ahad Raza Mir, Osman Khalid Butt, Ahmed Ali Akbar, Wahaj Ali, Alizeh Shah, and Zara Noor Abbas.

Main Plot

The story follows the lives of four friends—Saad, Shahzain, Shariq, and Shehryar—who call themselves the SSG (Special ‘S’ Gang). They study at Lawrence College in Murree. Each friend has a unique background: Saad’s father is an army officer; Shahzain comes from a wealthy village family; Shariq lives with his widowed mother and sister; and Shehryar’s father is a bandmaster.

They frequently bunk hostel together, and despite repeated warnings, they continue their misadventures. One such escapade leads them to a confrontation with Dua, a girl Saad has a crush on, and her overprotective cousin Raheel. This incident results in a police case and a rift between the friends, leading to their expulsion from the hostel.

Production Insights

Ehd-e-Wafa was a collaborative effort between Hum TV’s senior producer Momina Duraid and ISPR. Saife Hassan directed the series, which was written by Mustafa Afridi. The cast selection was a joint effort by Duraid and DG ISPR Asif Ghafoor, featuring prominent actors like Ahad Raza Mir, Osman Khalid Butt, Ahmed Ali Akbar, and Wahaj Ali. The series was filmed in 16 different cities, including Lawrence College in Murree and Pakistan Military Academy in Abbottabad.
