Season 1

The first season introduces us to Umeed, a vivacious young woman from a middle-class background, who dreams of a life of luxury. Umeed’s life takes a whimsical turn when she receives an invitation to participate in a show that promises to fulfill her dreams. However, she soon learns that reality has no magical solutions and that success requires hard work and perseverance. The couple’s journey is filled with heartwarming moments, and their story continues to inspire viewers as they strive toward their “happily ever after.”

Season 1

Galaxy Lollywood initially reported on January 5, 2023, that the show, tentatively titled “Qismat,” featured Sehar Khan, Hamza Sohail, Mustafa Babar, and Aena Khan. After some casting changes, including Adnan Raza Mir replacing Mustafa Babar, the show moved forward with its dynamic cast.

Season 2

Following the success of the first season, the series concluded with a teaser hinting at a continuation. Writer Sarah Majeed confirmed the second season on May 3, 2023, via Instagram. HUM TV officially announced the new season with the original OST on June 29, 2023.


Critics have praised the series for its engaging storyline and strong performances. The Express Tribune lauded Sehar Khan’s comedic timing and Hamza Sohail’s versatile portrayal of Farjaad, while Dawn Images appreciated the show’s humour, relatability, and chemistry between the lead characters.


On September 4, 2023, Sarah Majeed hinted at a third season with a tweet saying “Season 3.” Although no official announcement has been made by HUM TV or producer Momina Duraid, fans eagerly await the continuation of Umeed and Farjaad’s journey.

“Fairy Tale” continues to be a beloved series, capturing the essence of romance, comedy, and life’s unpredictable twists, making it a standout in Pakistani television.
