Nikki Griffin (Actress)

Nikki Griffin, born Jeanne Nicole Griffin on April 16, 1978, in Vicksburg, Mississippi is an American actress known for her work in both television and film. She is mostly recognized for the character of “Jess Sathers” from FOX’s hit series “The O.C.” which has been a part of several notable projects that have solidified her position in the entertainment industry.

Jeanne Nicole Griffin, known as Nikki Griffin, was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi. When she was two, her family moved to Frankfurt, Germany, due to her father’s job with the Army Corps of Engineers. Her mother, Jeanne, is a nurse. After spending six years in Germany, the family returned to the U.S., first living in Virginia for a year before settling in Wilmington, North Carolina.

At the age of ten, Nikki began her modeling career. She spent three consecutive summers in New York City, represented by Wilhelmina (Wee Willys) and later Ford Kids. Despite not reaching the typical height for models by the time she was fifteen, Nikki continued to stay connected to the modeling world by traveling to London to mentor aspiring models.

After graduating from New Hanover High School, Nikki attended college in North Carolina but did not find it fulfilling. In 2000, she landed a small role in the film “Summer Catch” starring Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jessica Biel. Although her scene was cut from the final version, she earned her Screen Actors Guild (SAG) card from this experience. Realizing her passion lay in acting, Nikki moved to Los Angeles in 2001 to pursue her career more seriously.

Nikki’s breakthrough came when she won a leading role as the love interest in “The Dukes of Hazzard.” She gained further recognition for her role as Jess Sathers, a drug-dealing party girl, on the hit show “The O.C.” Her film career includes a memorable role in “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.”

In 2012, Nikki explored editorial writing, contributing several articles to Geek Magazine and Marvel.com. This opportunity allowed her to share her insights and passions beyond acting.

Recently, Nikki has transitioned into a talent manager role at the management group that initially launched her career. She is excited about this new chapter, as it allows her to support established actors and discover new talent, describing this transition as feeling “very full-circle.”

Nikki Griffin’s journey from a child model to a recognized actress and now a talent manager showcases her versatility and enduring commitment to the entertainment industry.
